The People Behind Anchor Design Center
Anchor Design Center is owned and operated by Debbie Tutor and her Daughter Amanda Schick. Debbie has always had a unique flair for design and every single project that she works on is unique! One of the primary goals for Debbie is to make sure that no project looks like any previous client’s home. Mandie certainly inherited Debbie’s flair and ability to idenitify unique design elements to create fantastic spaces.

Debbie and her husband Gary moved from Aurora IL in 1984. Gary and Debbie purchased Anchor Coatings in 1989. Anchor Coatings paints homes and commercial buldings in The Villages FL and the surrounding areas. Anchor Coatings is unique in that they also manufacture their own paint locally in Leesburg FL. Anchor Coating’s paint is environmentally friendly. Since the paint is made locally Anchor Coatings has a large client base in Lake, Sumter & Marion County.

Anchor Design Center grew out of Anchor Coatings since people requested help with color selection for their projects. After many years of helping clients specify colors Debbie and Gary decided that the design aspect was a natural fit. Anchor Design has grown tremendously in the last few years because of the unique design ideas that Debbie and her staff have implemented in many of ther client’s homes. Word of mouth spread and as a result Anchor Design has become one of the major decorators in The Villages, Fl.
